Similarly to the PD series the LD series distinguishes itself with slim flashlights, that are predestined for the use in law enforcement- and military services.

The body of the lamp is made from aircraft grade aluminum with a type III hard anodized finish and is therefore very robust. Additionally the flashlights are waterproof by the terms of the IPX-8 standard and have a lifespan of approximately 50 000 hours.

The LD22 is powered by two AA-Mignon batteries, and and the digitally regulated output maintains constant brightness in four different brightness levels as well as 2 different special modes.

The XP-G2 R5 LED module from Cree reaches a brightness of 215 lumens with a range of approximately 100m.
