The PD-series is especially well suited for the rough, practical use in military- and law enforcement services as well as other fields, due to the flashlights being very easy to handle, due to their light weight and small size. The PD35 is powered by two CR123A batteries or a 18650 rechargeable Li-Ion battery and the digitally regulated output maintains constant brightness in five different brightness levels, as well as a strobe mode.

The XPL2 U2 module from Cree reaches a brightness of up to 850 lumens and has a range of approximately 200 m with a lifespan of approximately 50 000 operating hours.
